Jared out and about in Vancouver (c)
From the article Sandra McCoy Takes on The Absurd (March 28, 2008):
Q: Tell me something about Jared people wouldn’t suspect.
A: ”Gosh, people know so much about him. I can’t think of anything that would be a surprise other than he reads a lot, is that a surprise? He and I read books together at the same time and try to keep each other paced. He’s ridiculously intelligent.
Oh! That’s one thing. He’s a brilliant, brilliant chess player and I’ve never seen anyone beat him! One time we were at Beau Bauman’s (Cry Wolf) house and he’s a Yale grad and he lost to Jared. Jeff Wadlow, who went to Dartmouth, was surprised that Beau had lost, so he insisted on playing! At one point Beau kicked us out of his house and they took the chess board across the street to Jeff’s house, two pieces fell off the board and broke but they put them back on, and Jeff kept insisting that he wasn’t going to lose to Jared who only has a high school diploma.
Jared was enrolled in UT to get a degree in engineering and he does want to go back to school one day. He’s a ridiculously bright guy but people don’t think so because he’s such a goof ball. But he can’t be the witty goof ball that he is without a brain.”
If monsters are real, then they could get us. They could get me.
